THE UNSWEPT (L-R)

David O'Brien: drums

Ryan O'Brien: guitar, vocals

Charlie O’Brien - guitars, keyboards, vocals

Liz O’Brien - bass, vocals

The O'Brien cousins all grew up in a council housing project in Sheffield, England, where they played in several bands together. Following a job opportunity to work for a popular touring group, they soon made their home in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois.

The Unswept have been a part of Chicago's power pop scene for over a decade, racking up 10 appearances at the annual International Pop Overthrow Festival, along with shows at popular Chicago venues like Montrose Saloon, The Hideout, and Martyrs. Their previous three albums have received rave reviews from influential power pop blogs and local music writers. Unswept tunes are in regular rotation on streaming power pop stations and have also been featured on Chicago AM and FM radio.

Chicago's Gaper's Block said the sound of The Unswept is like "The Monkees meet the Traveling Wilburys."  They've also drawn comparisons to the sonic signature of Robyn Hitchcock, Nick Lowe, Teenage Fanclub, and even the early Bangles!
